The Year’s Final Post: Reflecting On Our Time at BHS

By Grahm Reynolds and Sushant Kunwar

It’s been an eventful four years at Branford High School: we started as young freshmen who were told to be wary of the seniors and walk fast in the halls and now, we write this as seniors who did our best not to scare the freshman.

We still walk fast though.

The students of the class of 2022 faced many obstacles in our time here, but we somehow managed to overcome them. Now, we have graduated from Branford High School.  Albeit cliche, it truly feels like yesterday we had our first high school class. Perhaps it was only two hours ago when school was all virtual, and thirty minutes since everyone came back to school.

For the final time as co-editors of the Branford Buzz – and before tonight’s official graduation ceremony on the Green – we would like to take this opportunity to post for one last time with news and information about the Branford High School community.

As co-editors of The Buzz, we’ve worked on multiple articles and have witnessed and try to document in the pages of The Buzz the multitude of ways that BHS has changed throughout that time. (See what we mean here and here and here). We are are part of the only graduating class to experience BHS before, during, and after the pandemic. With BHS, we have grown and adapted to the ever-changing situations our community found itself in.

As we move on to the next stages of our lives, we would like to thank everyone in the BHS community who has supported us throughout these unique four years. The teachers who worked hard and changed everything they knew about teaching for us, the administration that had to organize massive changes in learning, and the staff that had to accommodate and make our lives as students easier.

We wish the class of 2023 good luck as they assume their position on the senior balcony next year.

Lastly, we’d like to thank Mr. Miller, who we are obligated to thank as he won’t let us publish this if we don’t acknowledge him. Thank you Miller for all you’ve done for both us and the Buzz as a whole over the last four years.

Publisher's Note: Co-editors Grahm Reynolds and Sushant Kunwar will be sorely missed as leaders both for The Branford Buzz and in Branford High School in general.
