BHS Students Stuffing the Principal’s Office Again

By Meghan Cusack Students at BHS are bringing in large amounts of cans and other nonperishable food items into the principal’s office. It’s the time of year for Stuff the Principal’s office. This year also comes with another twist: BHS is having a friendly competition with Guilford High School and Daniel Hand High School. How did this friendly competition come about? According to Principal Lee Panagoulias, a Guilford High School club contacted him. about potentially running this competition for a good cause. Upon asking Mr. Panagoulias about BHS’ standing in the competition, he responded saying, “I am very proud of the effort of all of our students, faculty and staff. There are no winners in this competition.” The revival of this school wide effort was the fact that BHS was “very successful in 2013-2014 with over 5,000 pounds of nonperishable food items collected,” Panagoulias said. BHS students also had thoughts about continuing Stuff the Principal’s Office. Addison Ferrara said that he was “glad we are doing something for other people.” Karina Khoultchaeva said that it was a “good” and “fun” way to help other people. On whether or not BHS will be participating in this again next year, Mr. Panagoulias said there would be a “strong possibility.” The food drive ends early this coming week, so get in your cans![singlepic id=14 w= h= float=center]
