Branford Helps Harvey Victims

By Danni Dunlop As we all know Hurricane Harvey caused a lot of damage and destruction not to just the state of Texas, but to people’s lives, too. Students at Branford High School have been doing multiple fundraisers to raise money for Harvey victims. Branford High School National Honor Society and Student Council put many efforts in to helping out. NHS hosted a Chili Cook-Off on the 13th for the faculty while Student Council sold Branford themed T-Shirts during lunch waves all week plus raised money at home sports games. T-shirts were being sold at $12 for one or $20 for two. Katie Spaulding, President of Student Council, said that so far, they have raised just under $100.
